Administrators and above can view their instance's current Radar collector count and usage by navigating to Admin → License Key. Here, you'll see how many Hudu Radar collectors are in use out of the total included in your tier, along with a list of the companies currently using Hudu Radar. Usage is based on the number of collectors in use, not the number of companies.
Purchasing Hudu Radar
Hudu Radar uses tiered, collector-based pricing. A collector is one Radar install within a client's network, and every collector counts toward your tier. A company with multiple locations or non-routable networks can run a separate collector at each site, and each of those collectors uses one from your tier. Visit Hudu HQ portal to select or change your Radar tier. Once you have added or updated your tier, go to Admin → License Key in your Hudu instance, and click Refresh next to the Hudu Radar collectors count to apply the changes. After that, you should see the option to Enable Hudu Radar in Admin → Hudu Radar.

Hudu Radar trials include up to 500 collectors, the same as the Enterprise tier.
If you were already paying for Hudu Radar before collector tiers were introduced, your account stays on per-collector pricing. You can see your used collector count when managing your license in Hudu HQ. To switch to a collector tier, use the contact option shown there.

Utilizing a Radar Collector
To begin utilizing Radar for a company, navigate to that company's IPAM section and click Activate Hudu Radar in the top right. This will automatically create a Hudu Radar section in the left side panel. Each collector installed for that company uses one collector from your tier.
To get started, navigate to the Hudu Radar section:
Step 1. Download Radar
Download and install the Radar application on a Windows machine within the client's network.
Step 2. Get Radar code
Each company using Radar is assigned a unique code. Keep this code secure, as it is used to identify your Radar collectors.
Step 3. Start scanning
Once installed, Radar will automatically begin scanning the network and syncing data to the company in Hudu.
If all collectors in your tier are in use, users will receive an error message when they click the Hudu Radar Code button in a company that is not already utilizing Radar, letting them know that no Hudu Radar collectors are available. For example, if your Starter tier includes five collectors and all five are already in use, you'll receive this error.
When you add collectors to an existing company with the multi-location migration wizard, the review step shows how many collectors will be in use after the change and warns you if the change would exceed your tier.

Managing Radar Use Per Company
If you need to remove Radar from a company, click Remove next to the company's name in the Hudu Radar section on Admin → License Key. This removes Radar from the company. If Radar is removed from a company, any networks and/or assets created in the company by Radar will remain but will no longer receive automatic updates from Radar scans. The network maps created by Radar will also be removed.
Archived companies that still have Radar active are included in this list, so you can remove Radar from them and free up their collectors.
After you remove Radar from a company, it may take a few minutes for the freed collectors to be reflected in your collector count.
Radar Limited Mode
If the number of collectors in use is greater than the number of collectors included in your Radar tier in Hudu HQ, your instance will automatically be placed in Hudu Radar Limited Mode. This means that Radar scans will pause and network maps will be removed until the discrepancy is fixed. Radar alerts are also paused while your instance is in limited mode (v2.47). This situation could arise if you move to a smaller tier in Hudu HQ before you reduce the number of collectors in use in your instance.
