Device Requirements
Hudu Radar allows you to define your preferred default global device data point requirements:
- Choose required device data points. Devices missing required data will stay in Hudu Radar until completed manually.
Note: Hudu Radar will always scan for all data points and populate as many as possible, regardless of which data points are marked as required.
Asset Layout Setup
Let's explore how to assign a device type to an asset layout.
Asset Layout Mapping
- Hudu Radar will create assets for each device type based on the assigned asset layout selected.
- Leave blank to skip asset creation and only create an IP address entry in IPAM.
Note: A device must be mapped to an asset layout in order to use asset layout field mapping.
Asset Layout Field Mapping
- Navigate to Hudu Admin > Asset Layouts;
- Select the asset layout you would like to map Radar data points to for a given device type;
- Edit an existing field or create a new one;
- Hudu Radar supports Text and Rich Text asset layout fields;
- CPUs, Disks, and Interfaces data points should be Rich Text for correct formatting;
- Find Sources and select the preferred data point.
Warranty Expirations
Note: Date fields can be used to create a warranty expiration if vendor and serial numbers are found. Supported Vendors: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Microsoft.
