The Hudu admin area is accessible ONLY to admins and super admin users within your organization.
Alerts can be configured within Hudu to help keep your team aware and informed of upcoming events! Alerts can be configured for:
- Single expirations: Generates a separate, individual alert for each expiration of a certain type, expiring within a set number of trigger days.
- Expiration list: Generates a single alert with a list view of all expirations expiring within a set number of trigger days.
- Website down: Generates an alert when a website of your choice appears down.
- One-time shared password reveal: Generates an alert when a one-time shared password has been revealed.
- Password created/updated: Generates an alert when a password has been created and/or updated.
- Record Created/Updated/Deleted: Generates an alert when a company, password, article, website or asset record has been created, updated, or deleted.
In order to start setting up alerts within Hudu, you'll first need to have at least a single expiration within a client interface. Visit Expirations for additional information.
Guides
Trigger Alert X days before Expiring:
- For Single Expirations and Expiration List, choose the number of days you would like the alert to trigger before reaching the expiration date.
- Stop Alerts After Reaching Trigger: Selecting this option will stop alerts from sending after the set trigger day is reached.
- Include Expiring Records in Museum: Selecting this option will send alerts for items expiring in the museum.
Alerts can be configured to send to e-mail;

WebHook Alerts can be configured to send to external applications. Guides for common web-hook providers can be found below:
Enabling Alerts
- Navigate to your Hudu admin area >> Alerts.
- Click ((+ New Alert)).
- Give your alert a name.
- Select the expiration type from the choices and complete the required fields (details on each below).
- Configure the alert to either send to an e-mail address of your choosing; or click configure WebHook to create WebHook notifications.

- Save the alert by clicking create an alert.
Expiration Types
Single Expiration
Generates a separate, individual alert for each expiration of a certain type, expiring within a set number of trigger days.
- Navigate to the Hudu admin area, and click on the Alerts section.
- Click ((+ New Alert)).
- Name the alert
- Choose single expiration from the alert options.
- Select the number of trigger days (i.e. how many days in advance of the expiration would you like to get notified).
- Select whether or not to stop alerts after reaching the set number of trigger days.
- Select whether or not to include alerts expiring within the Museum (expirations for archived information).
- Choose which expiration type you'd like to set up alerts for. This could be:
- Alert for all expirations.
- Alert for only domain expirations.
- Alert for only SSL certificate expirations.
- Alert for only warranty expirations.
- Alert for only article expirations.
- Alert for only asset expirations.
- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Provide valid e-mail address(es) in the allocated section;
- Optionally configure WebHooks (WebHooks).
- Deploy the alert by clicking Create Alert.

- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Deploy the alert by clicking Create Alert.
One-Time Shared Password Reveal
Generates an alert when a one-time shared password has been revealed.
- Navigate to the Hudu admin area and click on the Alerts section.
- Click ((+ New Alert)).
- Name the alert.
- Choose One-Time Shared Password Reveal from the alert options.
- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Provide valid e-mail address(es) in the allocated section.
- Optionally configure WebHooks (WebHooks).
- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Deploy the alert by clicking Create Alert.
Password Created/Updated
Generates an alert when a one-time shared password has been revealed.
- Navigate to the Hudu admin area and click on the Alerts section.
- Click ((+ New Alert)).
- Name the alert.
- Choose Password Created/Updated from the alert options.
- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Provide valid e-mail address(es) in the allocated section.
- Optionally configure WebHooks (WebHooks).
- Select how you'd like to send the alerts.
- Deploy the alert by clicking Create Alert.
Record Created/Updated/Deleted
Generates an alert when a record has been created, updated, or deleted.
- Navigate to the Hudu admin area and click on the Alerts section.
- Click New Alert.
- Name the alert.
- Choose Record Created/Updated/Deleted from the alert options.
- Select the Record Type and Action (Created, Updated, or Deleted) for which you would like to receive an alert.
- Provide valid e-mail address(es) in the allocated section.
- Optionally configure WebHooks (WebHooks).
- Select the Record Type and Action (Created, Updated, or Deleted) for which you would like to receive an alert.
- Deploy the alert by clicking Create Alert.
