The HaloITSM integration syncs client and asset data into Hudu, centralizing information for streamlined documentation and visibility.
Before setting up your HaloITSM integration, read our Understanding Integrations article to learn basic concepts and useful tips.
What You'll Need
Before enabling the integration, ensure the following:
Administrator access to both Hudu and HaloITSM
API access enabled in HaloITSM
A dedicated Agent account for API access (recommended)
The Agent account has visibility into all clients and data you intend to sync
At any time, you can come back to your Hudu admin area >> Integrations >> HaloPSA to make changes to the integration.
Integration Features
Hudu's integration with HaloITSM allows you to sync:
-
Companies into Hudu
- Create client spaces within Hudu directly from HaloITSM companies, or seamlessly merge them into existing (already-created) client spaces.
-
Users into Hudu
- Pull users directly from HaloITSM and easily sort into an asset layout of your choice ("People", "Contacts", "Company A employees", etc.)
-
Assets into Hudu
- Pull asset information from HaloITSM; sorted into asset layouts based on set sort rules and your primary sync location(s).
-
Contracts into Hudu
- Pull in active contracts to allow for visibility on client spaces within Hudu.
-
Sites into Hudu
- Pull sites/locations from HaloITSM.
-
KB articles into HaloITSM
- Sync Central Knowledge Base articles and company specific articles from Hudu into the HaloITSM Knowledge Base.
- You must update or recreate your HaloITSM credentials before attempting to use the sync feature. The KB sync will not work without updated credentials that include the proper access and scopes. Please also see the HaloPSA guide for more information on the KB article sync.
Use our Hudu Assist browser extension feature to bring the power of the Hudu interface into the tools your team is already using. For more information, visit our Hudu Assist article!
You can use Connected Fields to map information from this integration into Hudu custom fields. This allows data to appear in list views and be fully searchable across your account. Learn more →
What Hudu Needs from HaloITSM
- Resource Server
- Tenant
- Client ID
- Client Secret
Configuring the Integration with HaloITSM
Navigate to Hudu Admin → Integrations.
Select HaloPSA from the list.
Enter your HaloITSM API credentials.
Save the integration settings.
Asset Group Access Control
By default, HaloITSM enables Asset Group Access Control. This means the Agent account used for the API must be explicitly granted access to each Asset Group you want to expose to Hudu.
To configure access:
Edit the relevant Asset Group in HaloITSM.
Review and update its Access Control settings to include the API Agent.
If Asset Group permissions are not configured correctly, assets will not sync to Hudu even if the API connection is successful.
