Introduction
Hudu Radar can scan networks directly associated with the collector’s local adapters, as well as additional networks identified during the discovery process. All networks, regardless of scan status, are shown in Hudu Radar settings >> Networks.
Networks that have been added to scans will be scanned every 35 minutes. Any of these networks can be manually scanned by clicking the refresh button within Hudu Radar settings >> Networks.
Local Adapter Networks
Networks from local adapters are seen and scanned directly by Hudu Radar because the scanning machine has a network interface configured on it. Multiple local adapters can be scanned by Hudu Radar. However, at least one local adapter network is required to perform any network scans. Hudu Radar will auto-detect the primary/default adapter. The default adapter cannot be removed. The scan range is automatically calculated from the adapter’s IP address and subnet mask.

Discovered Networks
Hudu Radar will query routers and switches with SNMP to discover additional networks beyond those tied to local adapters. These discovered networks are automatically added to the networks list as unscanned networks. By default, Hudu Radar will not scan them until they are manually enabled from Hudu Radar Settings >> Networks.
