ManageEngine Endpoint Central

The ManageEngine Endpoint Central integration automatically syncs company and device data from Endpoint Central into Hudu. It brings over your endpoints and organizes them into your documentation, so your device inventory stays current without manual entry.

Visit Understanding Integrations for additional information on how Hudu integrations work.

What you will need

  • An Endpoint Central account with administrator access.
  • Access to generate an API key or auth token in Endpoint Central.
  • An admin or super admin user role within Hudu.

At any time, you can come back to your Hudu admin area → Integrations → ManageEngine Endpoint Central to make changes to the integration.

Integration features

Hudu's integration with ManageEngine Endpoint Central allows you to sync over:

  • Companies. Create client spaces within Hudu directly from Endpoint Central organizations, or merge them into existing client spaces.
  • Devices. Pull endpoint and device details from Endpoint Central, sorted into asset layouts based on your sort rules.

You can use Connected Fields to map information from this integration into Hudu custom fields, so it appears in list views and stays fully searchable across your account.

What Hudu needs from ManageEngine Endpoint Central

  • Data Center
    •  The region your Endpoint Central Cloud account is hosted in.
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret

Obtaining the Endpoint Central information

  • Log in to your Endpoint Central console as an administrator.
  • Click Admin, then under Integrations, open API Key Management (or API Explorer, depending on your version).
  • Generate a new Client ID and Client Secret.
  • Copy and store this key securely. Some versions only display it once.
Keep this confidential. Anyone with access to it can query your Endpoint Central data.

Setting up the integration in Hudu

Step 1. Enter Credentials

  • Navigate to Hudu admin area → Integrations → ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
  • Enter your Endpoint Central credentials.
  • Click Save Credentials.

Step 2. Test connection and run an initial sync

  • On the integration overview page, click Test Connection.
  • If successful, start an initial sync to bring in your Endpoint Central companies.

Step 3. Match companies

  • Navigate to Hudu admin area → Integrations → ManageEngine Endpoint Central and click Match Companies.
  • For each company, choose to:
    • Match it to an existing Hudu company.
    • Create a new Hudu company from it.
    • Leave it unmatched (its data will not be imported).
  • We recommend matching one company first to confirm data imports correctly, then rerun the integration to bring in the rest.

Step 4. Choose where devices will fill to

  • Add sort rules to determine how device data from Endpoint Central maps to asset layouts in Hudu.
  • Any device type imported without a sort rule is placed into the default asset layout.
  • Save your settings.

Step 5. Test connection and run a final sync

  • Test the connection again from the integration overview page.
  • If successful, stop and restart the sync to bring in your Endpoint Central devices.

FAQ

How often does this integration sync?

Native integrations automatically resync every three hours. You can also use the global or card specific resync options to refresh the sync at any time.

Why is my sync taking a long time to finish?

Large syncs can take several minutes. If it has been running for an extended period, test the connection, verify your Endpoint Central credentials, refresh the page, then stop and restart the sync if needed.

I accidentally deleted an integration card. How do I get it back?

It should reappear on a subsequent resync, as long as it has not been archived and still exists in your sort rules.

Troubleshooting

My test connection is failing

Confirm your server URL does not include a trailing slash, and that the API key was copied in full and has not expired or been regenerated in Endpoint Central since it was entered in Hudu.

Companies are not appearing in Match Companies

Run the initial sync again from the integration overview page. If companies still do not appear, verify the API key has read access to the organizations you expect to see.
