Zest

Zest is a Professional Services Automation (PSA) software designed specifically for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), IT service providers, and technology consultants. It aims to simplify MSP management by offering a ready-to-use solution that eliminates the need for extensive configuration.

Before setting up your Zest integration, please read over our Understanding Integrations article to learn basic concepts and useful tips.

In order to set up an integration with Zest, you will need:

• Ability to access account settings within Zest
• Admin or Super Admin role in Hudu

Integrations Features

Zest's integration with Hudu allows you to sync:

• Companies
• Contacts
  • Zest will automatically create an asset layout for contacts and if you enable synchronization, will update the following fields on any existing Hudu companies with identical company names unless you opt out:
    • Name, Website, Nickname, Address Line, Notes, Phone Number

Zest's integration with Hudu also provides pre-made Asset Layouts which you can choose to be created in your Hudu environment. Please note, these asset layouts will not be actively managed by Zest.  

What Zest needs from Hudu

• API Key
• Hudu Domain

Enabling Integrations

Integrations can be enabled at any point during your Hudu environment testing and/or during production. The integration built by Zest and Hudu was built by Zest via the API. 

• Navigate to your Hudu admin area >> Account Administration and click API.
• Use the left-hand box to Create a new API key.
  • Name the key whatever you wish.
  • You will need to allow 'Password access'.
  • You do not need to restrict to a specific company.
  • You do not need to list allowed IP addresses.
  • You do not need to allow access to destructive actions.

• Click Create New Key.
• Copy the generated key.
  • Be sure to copy the key and keep this in a secure location; this will be the last time that you can see this key.
