Addigy

One of Hudu's built-in integrations is Addigy, allowing teams to link device management data directly into Hudu. This article covers what the integration syncs, what you'll need before you start, and how to set it up.

Before you begin

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An admin or super-admin user role in Hudu
• An Addigy account with permission to create API tokens
• An Addigy API v2 token with the View Devices and View Policies Activity permissions (see Generate an API token in Addigy below)
• At least one active asset layout in Hudu to use as the default layout for Addigy devices
• Read through the Understanding Integrations article

Integration features

Hudu's integration with Addigy syncs the following:

• Policies
  • Create companies in Hudu directly from Addigy policies, or match them to existing Hudu companies.
• Devices
  • Pull device information from Addigy, sorted into asset layouts based on your sort rules and default asset layout.

How to set up the Addigy integration

Generate an API token in Addigy

• Log in to Addigy
• Navigate to Account → Integrations
• Scroll down to Addigy API and select New API Token
• Select the following permissions:
  • View Devices
  • View Policies Activity
• Copy the API token
  • Store it somewhere safe; you won't be able to view it again in Addigy

Set up the integration in Hudu

Step 1. Connect Hudu to Addigy

• In Hudu, navigate to Admin → Integrations and select Addigy
• Enter your Addigy API token
• Select any asset types to skip (optional)
• Select any additional options:
  • Auto-update names of assets – if a device name changes in Addigy, the asset name updates automatically in Hudu
  • Do not update basic company details – prevents company details in Hudu from being overwritten when they change in Addigy
  • Match assets on primary serial – matches assets on both name and primary serial number
• Save the settings

Step 2. Test the connection and run an initial sync

• On the integration overview page, click Test Connection
• If the test succeeds, start an initial sync to bring in your Addigy policies

Step 3. Match Addigy policies to Hudu companies

• Before data from an Addigy policy can be brought into Hudu, the policy must be matched to either:
  • An existing company in Hudu, or
  • A new company you create in Hudu
• After the initial sync, your Addigy policies appear in the Matched Companies list for the integration
• Navigate to Admin → Integrations → Addigy and click Match Companies
• Review the list and choose one of the following for each policy:
  • Bulk create and/or match all companies
  • Match the policy to an existing Hudu company
  • Create a new company in Hudu from the policy
  • Leave the policy unmatched (it and its data will not be imported)
• After matching, re-run the sync to populate data for the matched or newly created companies

Step 4. Choose where Addigy devices sync to

• Once the initial sync has run, tell Hudu where to place your Addigy devices
• Navigate to Admin → Integrations → Addigy → Edit Settings
• Choose an active asset layout from the list to set as the default asset layout

• Add sort rules (optional)
  • Sort rules control which asset layout each Addigy device type is placed into
  • Any device type without a sort rule is placed into the default asset layout
  • Asset layouts used in sort rules must be active. You can create them ahead of time in Admin → Asset Layouts, or create new ones directly from this section
• Save the settings

Step 5. Run a final sync

• Once your settings are saved, start a final sync
• This sync brings your Addigy devices into Hudu
