If you have a portal member and they are seeing a Blank Page or an error page (does it say "Uh-oh, this page seems to have disappeared")?
What this usually means (the issue can be one or more of the following):
- The Portal that they are assigned has not yet been created.
- The Portal that they are assigned has not yet been activated.
- Portal users have not yet been assigned to a portal.
Fixes
The Portal that they are assigned has not been created.
- Navigate to the company/client interface [space] that you'd like to give them portal access to >> select External Sharing from the left-hand side menu, and hit the Create Portal button.
The Portal that they are assigned has not been activated.
- Navigate to a company/client interface [space] >> select the External Sharing tab from the top of the company home page and hit the Activate Portal button.
Portal users have not yet been assigned to a portal.
- Navigate to the Hudu Admin area >> Users
- Invite New User >> Enter Email(s) >> + Add Emails >> Portal Member
- Assign the user to a client/company (must have created/activated portal) to access.
- Each user can only be assigned to one portal.
Not seeing the External Sharing tab/option?
This tab can be turned off in Hudu admin >> General, so make sure it is on!
